Chemical Tank Threat in Garden Grove Neutralized
On May 21, a GKN Aerospace-owned tank located in Garden Grove, California, cracked, threatening the surrounding area with either a chemical spill or a hazardous explosion. The tank, containing the toxic methyl methacrylate, was cooled by authorities, while 50,000 Orange County residents received mandatory evacuation orders. On May 25, Orange County Fire Authority officials reported that there is no longer a risk of explosion.

On May 19, in Kentucky’s 4th district, Representative Thomas Massie, a long-time Trump critic and major proponent of releasing the Epstein files, narrowly lost his re-election bid to Ed Gallrein, who was endorsed by Trump. Meanwhile, down in Louisiana, Senator Bill Cassidy, one of the seven Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, finished third in the GOP primary behind two MAGA candidates.
