Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect appears in court for the first time
On Dec. 11, Tyler Robinson, 22, appeared in-person in a Utah courtroom for the first time, wearing civilian clothing. Accused of fatally shooting conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, Robinson has been charged with seven counts, including aggravated murder.
Paramount Launches Hostile Takeover Bid to Acquire Warner Bros
Days after Netflix struck a multi-billion deal to purchase the media conglomerate, including streaming service HBO Max and other assets, Paramount Skydance announced it would appeal to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders to merge with the company.
Brown University Active Shooter
On Dec. 13, an active shooting at the Ivy League University killed two students, injured nine, and put the campus on lockdown during finals. A manhunt is underway for a person of interest caught by security cameras. The investigation is still ongoing.
Terrorist Attack on Bondi Beach Kills 15
On Dec. 13, a 50-year-old man and his 24-year-old son opened fire on people attending a Hanukkah Festival on Bondi Beach, Sydney, with at least 16 (including the gunman) dead and 40 injured. It is the deadliest shooting in Australia since the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.
2026 FIFA World Cup Updates
The upcoming World Cup, hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, announced all of its group stage matchups, drawing excitement at the matchups, while fans condemned exorbitant ticket prices, with the minimum being around 260 US dollars and the maximum ticket prices over 4000 US dollars.
